What is the Nature of the Post-Genderist Movement?

To reiterate, a movement is a type of group action that is geared to bringing attention to an injustice or inequality and changing the oppressive element in a given society.

With that said, before this question can be answered one must consider another question first. Can a movement exist if those in the movement do not use one unified term to identify their actions and goals?

If the answer is “no,” then no, the movement is quite small and only encompasses the actions of the transhumanists and family based post-genderists.

If the answer is ‘yes,’ then the answer becomes complicated. There are people who believe in one or several tenets of post-genderism and are working towards their corresponding goals (namely gender elimination or gender proliferation). They seem to be isolated from one another and do not address their issues with the other aspects in mind. This indicates that there are several post-gender movements whose main, and sometimes only, commonality is the broad goal of ending oppression caused by western society’s strict adherence to the gender binary.

In either case, the movement is in its fledgling stage are litterary or theoretical. The exceptions to this are those who use neither male nor female to describe their gender identity and the family-based post-genderists.

The Post-Gender movement is unlike its predecessors in that it is widely unknown. Post-Genderists use the internet instead of public demonstrations to reach out to recruit. The use of the internet allows them to connect to those they want to and avoid the intolerant as much as possible. To reach out to the general public Post-Genderist incorporate various aspects of Post-Genderism in works of fiction. In doing so, they acclimate their readers to tenets of Post-Genderism in a non-confrontational manner.
