The Transhumanist Approach
Transhumanists are people who are devoted to the elimination of biological imperfections such as diseases and genetic defects, and impediments such as low intelligence, and physical differences which have been used as reasons to discriminate, through the use of technology and science. Some see the gender hierarchy as enrooted in the biological differences between males and females. Those who do, believe that the harm caused by the gender binary is in fact caused by the biological sex binary. Therefore, the only way in which there can be true equality is if there are no sex based biological differences. They envision a future in which, through the help of bio-technology, all people will have the ability to menstruate, impregnate, gestate and lactate.
